2015 Book Challenge Roundup

Every year, I challenge myself to read a certain amount of books and every year I fail.

As a kid, reading was the only thing I did then boarding school, university and grad school happened and hobbies were forced on me. I’ve lost the ability to truly block everything out and get lost in a book. Although when I do, I read about three in three weeks and I don’t sleep for the period, either.

In January, I challenged myself to read 20 books and although I failed, I read 11, which is pretty decent in my opinion. Actually, I’m pretty proud of  the fact that I found time to read that many so cheers to that.

Here are the books I drowned myself in this year:

The Last Time We Say Goodbye – Cynthia Hand

Hope To Die – James Patterson

A Wanted Woman – Eric Jerome Dickey

The Girl on the Train – Paula Hawkins

Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty

The Husband’s Secret – Liane Moriarty

Truth or Die – James Patterson & Howard Roughan

Sharp Object – Gillian Flynn

Gone – James Patterson

Dark Places – Gillian Flynn

14th Deadly Sin – James Patterson

As I reminisce about the sleep I lost, I’m starting the Confessions series by James Patterson. To be real, there’s no way I’ll be done by the end of December so this will be a great addition for my 2016 challenge.
