Pucker up, young lady!
Last year, we wrote about #boldlipsforsicklecell. If you suffer from a bad memory, it’s a challenge created by Shamonica Wiggins to raise awareness for sickle-cell and to get a bill which allows federal funding for the disease to be passed.
Today, is World Sickle Cell Day and women all over the globe are rocking bold lip colors to raise awareness, advocate and tackle issues that surround sickle-cell.
If you’re already wearing lipstick just pucker up, position your phone to take the best selfie and post it using the hashtag #boldlipsforsicklecell. If not, grab your favorite lipstick and help to put a face to sickle-cell.
Sickle-Cell is the most common genetic disorder in the US. Over 100,000 people in the US have SCD and people with SCD have less access to comprehensive team care than people with other genetic disorders.
